Stop Underestimating Your Effect On People
Sometimes, life kicks you down. By kicks you down I imply that simply your whole life can come crashing and nothing feels okay. The ground under your feet crumbles and well.. you are fucked.Yes, it is not just you. OH HOLY MOTHER OF CLICHÉS. But clichés are what they are for a reason. The point here, (YAS GIRL HAS A POINT), is that we begin to underestimate ourselves.
We tend to forget what we are worth sometimes.
We UNDERESTIMATE our effect on other people. Believe it or not, you are capable of leaving little doggie droppings wherever your paws travel. Your honesty and commitment to being yourself and opinion, leave the greatest impression whether you believe it or not. That is why, you should not underestimate your perspective. However, do not be that asshole that goes around shoving their opinion down other people’s throats.
What to do when you underestimate yourself?
Just take a stand for what you believe in, the emphasis is YOU here. Basically, if it is a trending topic and everyone is all about that new profound “cause”, you do not have to fit in—no matter how humane it is. For example, a cat is stuck in a tree, all your Facebook “friends” are sharing this post. Therefore, if you are one of those people who share this post, but would not actually get a cat down from a tree in real life-then let me tell you something, you do not give a rat’s ass. So… do not share it?
I got a little sidetracked over here (yet do I not always?)
I recently discovered that I am capable of leaving a positive effect on people. After my life went down the gutter for a while, I detached myself from the world. Yet, when I stepped back in there, the “random-est” of people approached me; telling me how our conversations “helped” them. With that being said, that was the first time I realized I should not underestimate myself. Shockingly, it is true; you can put so much effort for the closest of people around you, yet strangers would appreciate it so much more. Do not get me wrong, the people in my life are life itself, the most amazing human beings ever; for that I am blessed. I am just saying do not underestimate your effect.
In the end, all I am trying to say here is that being your true self and not hesitating when it comes to how you want to act is part of enjoying life. Thus, by cutting loose and not overthinking every action you take somehow transcends your inner positive energy out into your surrounding—and the people within it.
BE THE VIBRANT LITTLE RAINDROP THAT I KNOW YOU CAN BE!
